The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.  According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, anyone expecting to undergo a serious operation, the elderly, and anyone in danger of death is encourgaged to receive this sacrament.  It may be given on more than one occasion.
